Our volunteer opportunities allow you to exercise your passion for public service and the performing arts while providing support to the overall mission of the Children's Theatre of Southern Maryland.  ​Theatre staff volunteers are vital to the success of our productions and future endeavors. View our Volunteer Handbook and submit a Volunteer Application.  All volunteers must complete our background check prior to their first shift.

Sweeney Todd Set Construction

Help build the World of Sweeney Todd! Are you creative, handy, or just love theatre? We need you to help to create an unforgettable set that will transport our audience to the foggy streets of Victorian London.

What We’re Looking For:
💈Carpenters and Builders: If you can handle a hammer or saw, we need you to help build sturdy, safe, and functional set pieces.
🥧Painters and Artists: Bring the set to life with your artistic touch, adding color, texture, and detail.
💈General Helpers: No experience? No problem! We need all hands on deck for various tasks, from assembling props to painting backdrops.
🥧 A large space to build the set. A garage or warehouse type of place would be ideal! 
💈A place to store the set until we can get into our venue.
