WHERE/WHEN:
Sunday, Jan. 26 - Southern Community Center, LUSBY
Sunday, Feb. 2 - Mt. Hope Community Center, SUNDERLAND

AGES: 8-18

WHAT TO PREPARE:

Please have 16-24 bars (30 sec. - 1 min) of a pop Broadway or Disney piece prepared...NOT from Shrek the Musical, please!!!
You may not sing acapella, please have a karaoke/instrumental track that we can pull up for you on YouTube, or a link that can be shared quickly with us during your time slot.
We prefer that you bring a headshot/resume. However, we will be taking your picture upon arrival, as well.
Once you have signed up for a time slot, complete a mandatory AUDITION FORM. You must fill out the form at least 48 hours prior to your audition. The audition form has more information about required dates and locations.

CALLBACKS:
There will be TWO available callback dates: Monday, Feb. 3 at Southern Community Center in Lusby & Tuesday, Feb. 4 at Mt. Hope Community Center in Sunderland. You will be asked which you'd prefer on your audition form should you be called back.
If you are not asked for a callback, you MAY STILL BE IN CONSIDERATION FOR CASTING!

REHEARSALS (Starting Wednesday, Feb. 5):
Sundays 1:00 - 5:00 at the Calvert School of Dance (Huntingtown location)
Wednesdays 5:30 - 8:30 at the College of Southern MD (Prince Frederick campus, Building B)
MANDATORY PARENT MEETING will be held during our first rehearsal on Wednesday, Feb. 5!
There will be a mandatory CAST APPEARANCE (with selections from the show) on Saturday, April 12. Exact time and information TBA!
** IF YOU ARE CAST, please know that there is a $100 participation/instruction fee that must be collected in order for you to be part of this production!!!**

SOMD News: Children's Theater Takes On Sweeney Todd

"'This show really is a dark comedy that the kids have quickly learned how to deliver the comic relief through their acting and their musical talents,' Cross said. 'This is a very, very challenging show for young actors and actresses and they have really stepped up and performed admirably in all of the rehearsals. Mary Musgrove is a genius at musical director and she has really brought out the best from all the performers.'"
