We Have Class

Our classes, taught by highly educated teaching artists, challenge students to push their creative limits, think differently, explore their own capabilities and come away from each class with a heightened sense of self and confidence. 

We offer our classes at various locations throughout Calvert County.  You can register for classes on our Ludus platform or click through the offerings below for more information and registration links.

Mondays

Rising Stars with Miss Kristtany

Hey kids! Are you ready to sing, dance, and shine?  ​The Rising Stars Musical Theatre Workshops are the perfect place for kids ages 5-10 to step into the spotlight and have a blast while learning something new!  No experience? No problem! These workshops are a super fun way to explore musical theatre for the first time.

Tuesdays

Studio Acting with Miss Aly

Are you ready to take things to the next level with your acting skills? CTSMD’s Tuesday evening intensive Studio Acting Program will be READY for you!

With the guidance and detail-oriented style of Teaching Artist, Aly Cross, actors will experience intensive scene and monologue work. They will greatly enhance partnering skills, character choices, audition etiquette, and a greater sense of self-trust.

Off Script: Theatre and Improv Series with Miss Aly, Carrie, Kristtany, and Kim

Jump into the spotlight with Off Script: Theatre & Improv Series from the Children’s Theatre of Southern Maryland! Whether you’re a seasoned performer or just curious about improv, this class is your ticket to confidence, creativity, and some seriously FUN Thursday nights.

Twinkle Tots with Miss Jessi

In these playful, music-filled classes, infants, toddlers, and preschoolers explore rhythm, melody, and movement alongside their caregivers. Through laughter, play, and hands-on activities, children build the foundational skills for musical and dramatic expression while enjoying meaningful bonding time. Classes combine age-appropriate songs, rhythm exercises, and imaginative play to develop musicality, self-expression, and stage confidence, all while keeping the experience playful and fun.​

Homeschool Theatre Series with Miss Carrie, Kris, Molly, and Aly

Discover CTSMD's engaging homeschool programming--where each session includes standards-aligned activities centered around language arts, history, social studies, arts, and physical education.
The Children's Theatre of Southern Maryland believes that theatre is for everyone, regardless of race, gender, ability, religion, or background.
